Animal Cruelty “Animal cruelty is ignored every day.” Thomas Gray once wrote, “ignorance is bliss.” Every day animals are beaten, neglected, abused, or even just struggling to survive. Animals are sometimes left in unsanitary conditions with no food water. Animals may have little hope while living from day to day without the compassion animals deserve. Some of them are lucky to get rescued, and are given the chances to see how great humans and life can be, but others are not as lucky to get the chance. One type of abuse is active cruelty it should be taken very seriously, since it can be a sign the person is psychological issues, also may commit more violence acts to possibly humans next.

The trainers use whips, thigh collars, muzzles, electric prods, billhooks and other painful tools of which are used to force them to perform. The animals during the off season are used in circuses maybe housed in small traveling crates. That kind of confinement can have harmful effects on them and indicated by unnatural behavior such as repeated swaying, and pacing. The thing that people do not think about thats hard on the circus elephants is, the lack of exercise and long hours standing on hard surfaces are the major part of why the elephants get foot infections and arthritis, that is the cause of death among captive elephants (“facts about …show more content…
The dogs were taken to William’s animal center were veterinarian Becky Debolt and team of others took them for anemia, worms, dehydration some had extra toes on there hind legs and a underbite (“dog whisperer”). The dogs really do have a short family tree the vet really thought, this she also thought thought do number sixteen who looked the worse. Dog number sixteen also had to be trimmed because her fur was so matted up by the time they got done shaving she only had fur on her head, paws and tip of her tail. All the workers keep thinking who would ever adopt a dog who can not stand being leased or would repeatedly throw up from fear (“dog whisperer”). They are not really sure if dog number sixteen could even be housed-trained at all, so with all this made them ask the American Society for the prevention of cruelty from ASPCA walked into Young Williams her presence set off the
