LC 2 Draft Angie’s Life Changing Donation Ever had a toy your parents made you share with your sibling? You probably did not like the fact that you could not have it to yourself. Angie however has always been different. She grew up taking care of her family. She lost everything in 2005 due to hurricane Katrina and never pitied herself.She even gave away her kidney to her brother by choice. She spent two and a half years with her mother in a hospital because she needed round-the-clock care. She worked with my father for many years and is now part of our family. They didn’t argue much and got along pretty well. Their values were to help one another and those in need, who are not even related. They helped each other with school work and always backed each other up. They spent a lot of time together growing up and that is why she had a hard time accepting all the tragic events that have occurred to her. Coming from a family with strong moral values, she learned what is right and wrong, how to help one in need, and to follow the right path in life. She was fortunate to have great parents who raised their children right. New Orleans wasn’t during her childhood and still is not safe today. Her parents made sure she didn’t fall into harm’s way. They put her in a safe school and lived in a safe neighborhood. His girlfriend donated her kidney to him also. Angie always asks him if needs anything. At times, he suffers from uncontrollable diabetes which makes his sugar content in his body fluctuate. This can be extremely low which is very dangerous and can be fatal. This also frequently causes sickness. Both levels require immediate attention and when this happens, he is disoriented, confused and cannot take care of himself.
