Angelina College Research Paper

Angela is a single parent of two, she had my brother at the age of 19. Therefore after graduating high school, she did not enroll in college. When she finally decided to go to college, she had her first bundle of joy “Me”. My mother also was a commuter, whom just bought her first reliable car a few months before having me. Now having to juggle two kids, a full time job, and school was way too overwhelming, which lead her to drop. Pretentious to say she is now a pharmacy technician and plans to continue her education where she left off. Visiting the college’s website they still do not provide any child care assistance, the Perkin’s Grants are available to students. It is a possibility to say that if the college provided a child care program my mother could have completed college sooner. Students who qualify for child care services and transportation assistance at Angelina College should take advantage of this opportunity, for it is very beneficiary.

The occupational majors includes: business, technical, vocational, and health careers. The special population’s students that are eligible include: single parents, single pregnant women, displaced homemakers, limited English proficiency, economically disadvantaged, majors in non-traditional fields of gender, and physical disadvantages. The Carl Perkins Grant supplies funds to help Angelina College special populations and occupational majors.
Generally, when interested in a service, the background information such as when and where are very important. Both of the services are provided on the days students have to attend class. The transportation services is provided on campus. Students may choose any child care facility, licensed or registered with (TDFPS) child care licensed division. Parents may call and ask about facilities before choosing a child care
