Angela's Struggle

What happened? Angela was very nervous because she had to be one of the speakers at her graduation and she was afraid, because she had stage fright. In her younger years when she had to speak in front of people she would throw up and have to run to the bathroom. Life changing event? Angela learned that even if she is afraid or scared to complete a hard task, that if she stays strong and doesn't give up on herself, she can accomplish anything. What was the low point? The low point was Angela had a bloody nose right when they were leaving to go to the graduation which made her feel rushed and afraid that she may not make it in time for the ceremony. Struggle? The struggle was that Angela wasn’t confident in herself which made her more afraid …show more content…
Through the difficulty, Angela’s mom supported her by going shopping to get her a dress, for the graduation and to motivate her throughout the story. What motivated him/her to succeed? What motivated her to succeed is that if she tries her best and doesn’t give up, she can complete the task. Angela also repeated “You’ll be fine” in her head to help motivate her to success.

How has he/she responded? Angela responded to her fear of speaking by being resilient when hard times came such as rehearsals, and when its was the real deal, she motivated herself with words of success.
How has he/she helped others? Angela has helped other by proving that just because you are fearful of a task that may frighten you, If you stay strong and be resilient throughout the situation, that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
How did he/she use it to his/her advantage? Angela used this graduation ceremony by changing the way she approaches things, in the future that can relate to speaking in front of others.
How did he/she grow? Angela grew by having others motivate her to success, and she had self confidence. Angela had to overcome her fears and be resilient throughout the whole
