Angela Lee Duckworth taught 7th graders math In New-york city. In her teaching period, she learned that IQ is not the only one which is important in studying and everyone can learn the material if they work hard in long term. Leaving school and becoming a psychologist, she studied kids in various settings and found the power of grit. Grit, which people rarely know well, is passion and perseverance for long-term goals. She noticed that grittier kids graduated in higher percent. Angela said, for building grit, ‘growth mind set’ is a good idea, which is the belief that learning ability can change with efforts.
