The Sigma Gamma Rho took home the trophy after winning Indiana State Universities Stroll off. The event started around 6:30 p.m. in the Tilson auditorium.
Homecoming is a time where students, faculty, and alumni come together and show their school spirit. There were five chapters that competed in the stroll-off.
“I love hosting school events; I especially liked hosting this year’s stroll off. The crowd was live and made it easy to get up on stage and be a good host,” Scroll off host Ra’Leshia Davis said.
Two ISU students, Ra’Leshia Davis and Shaquille Lee, hosted the scroll-off.
“I'm used to hosting sycamore sessions but it’s pretty much the same crowd,” Scroll-off host Shaquille Lee said.

For much first-year fraternity and sorority members, it was their first time performing in front of a big crown.
“Since this is my first year, I was really nervous but my brothers gave me confidence before we stepped out to perform. One of my brothers told me to just remember what we practiced and everything will fall into place. I guess since I knew I was not alone it made it easier. The experience was great and on the plus side, we won so I can’t complain,” Sigma member Brandon Jones said.

According to Davis, the scroll-off winners were determined by how smoothly each participant was able to perform in three rounds.
The first round consisted of the chapter’s fast song of choice. The second round consisted of a stroll song of the chapter’s choice. The third round was a freestyle round where each chapter was able to select their own song.

Giovanna Irwin, Jake Jenkins, and Samantha Robinson were the three hosts for last night’s stroll-off.
“I am honored to be a part of this special evening, a lot of people came out tonight with a lot of energy to cheer on each chapter. I would easily say that it was over eight-hundred people here tonight, Panhellenic President and Sigma Kappa Giovanna Irwin

The guys in Phi Slam, which is a Christian organization that is similar to a fraternity but they do not do typical frat things such as drinking, hazing or smoking, set up the event. Phi Slam has events just like fraternities and sororities do. This event was just one of the many events they put on throughout the year.…
