Part III : Water Parameters ( for pump-ashore tanks )
1. Water quality
Heavy metals shall not in the water and hygiene of the water shall be taken care to prevent unnecessary bacteria infection during yolk-sac frys stage and hatching period. Uneaten food and feces must be removed to prevent ammonia level increases which will cause the mortality rate increases.
2. pH pH level should be between 6 to 7 as optimum level to culture the frys.
3. Currents
The water currents shall not be too strong. Since newly hatched frys are not be able to swim like adults do, weaker currents is enough to allow them to maintain their position. Aeration should be slower (not strong ones).
4. Temperature
To accelerate the growth rate, temperature at 14℃ is used

MS222 or benzocaine which pre-dissolved in acetone or alcohol are the chemical that commonly use to anesthetize the fish. However, there are problems during giving vaccinations to the fishes. Some of the problems are stated as below :
1. May prevents the ova being released into body cavity when the female salmon is matured and causing impossible to strip the eggs.
2. May cause slight depression to the muscles
3. First boost might not enough to boost immunity towards the disease
4. Causing the fish stress

Problem 3 : Disease
Bacteria(s) or parasites from other farms or nature will infect the fishes which might lead to death or lost of profits. However, this is unavoidable. Sometimes, some diseases are not easy to be diagnose or there is no symptom at all. Infectious bacteria diseases like Furunculosis, Vibrio salmonicida and others had brought problems to the salmon farming

Due to most of the salmon farmers are depending on sea pens which means natural environment to culture salmons, exposing the cultured salmons to diseases and environment pollution is very high. Precautions and solutions are needed to promote higher survival rate and reduce mortality rate of salmon to increase the profits. Food conversion ratio is important to reduce the cost in culturing salmon. From spawning to culturing to adult stage or matured stage needs more advance technology and higher maintenance due to transferring the fishes from freshwater to sea
