Anesthesiologist Career Paper

Since I was five, I dreamed of becoming a doctor. While living with my grandparents, I noticed that they were always sick. They had many diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and more. As their grandchild, I was naturally worried for them. I visioned saving them and making their diseases go away. This led to the idea of becoming an anesthesiologist. My goal is to one day save people’s lives from deadly situations. Anesthesiologists play one of the most significant roles in the healthcare industry today. They help patients relieve pain during surgeries by anesthesia. Anesthesiologists are required to work with other doctors and stay calm and focused during procedures. The incorrect dosage of medication may lead to fatal consequences. It is extremely important for the patient to stay pain-free during surgery and safe. It takes about twelve years in order to become a certified anesthesiologist. After a serious discussion with my mom and some extensive research, I have decided that I am willing to spend more than ten years of life to achieve my dream. In order to become an anesthesiologist, students must complete a four year undergraduate degree. After getting an undergraduate degree, students will go to medical school, which takes another four years. Medical school graduates will spend another four years of residency in order to become a certified anesthesiologist.
Right now, I hope to start preparing for a career in an anesthesiology. I shall continue making straight A’s and excel in all subjects. I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society and participated in the Duke TIP program. Outside of school, I attend many extracurricular activities such as viola and swimming. Many websites advise students to make high school count. As I enter high school, I plan to volunteer at local hospitals and take challenging math and science
