The nurse believes ending Theresa’s life could mean the life of other children. Even though her idea may sound harsh, Thresa cannot interact with the world around her or comprehend anything around her. She is suffering, waiting for her final days to come. The nurse has a valid point that ending one life could mean saving more lives. The clergyperson has a natural law view. Thresa is still a person to the laws of the state and God. He believes that life should be respected no matter what. If Thresa’s life is ended, then the respect for life vanishes and open doors to violence similar to the past. The clergyperson ultimately believes that her life should be lived for as long as she can survive. I believe that ending Thresa’s life would be the most beneficial because then her organs could save the lives of other children. If she were my child I would not want her to suffer for her brief time on Earth. If her organs would save the lives of others, then I would feel as though I saved a whole family. This may sound harsh, but there is no reason to get attached to her if she is only going to live a brief life and cannot communicate in anyway, but she will have meaning to her life when her organs are donated. What aspect influenced me is the parents thinking that if they ended her suffering, then they would be able to move on knowing that her life had meaning
