Miranda is a lady to who look up everyone; however, she is not a good leader who can teach an employ to become more involved and more caring about the company. She has this notion that she is the best from everyone and they have to listen and respect her. This is a one way respect, because she doesn’t respect and trust her employees. For example, when Andy was punished and her punishment was to find original copy of Harry Potter book. Miranda punished Andy because she couldn’t find a jet from Florida that is why Andy got punished. This is one example how Miranda leadership works. To gain anatomy over her employees she punish them. Second example is that she doesn’t trust her employees and she was so confident that Andy wouldn’t be able to find the book that very easily she can fired her. Instead of helping her employee she makes them to do extra work for her. The third example is when she was hiring Andy she told her other employee Emily that she doesn’t trust her choose and she is going to do the hiring. Her leadership is low LMX which makes followers not to trust or respect the leader because they get same retreatment from their leader. The second leadership theory for Miranda is transformational where her employees are more focused on company’s well-being rather than their individual.
After watching the movie, I see that in this company has to be some changes in motivation. So by using motivation theories I am going to suggest the big company how to change their behavior towards their employ so they will be more motivated about their job. The first theory I am going to introduce is EQUITY THEORY, which says that OVER-REWARD inequity occurs when an individual perceives that he or she is receiving more than what is fair. In my opinion if Andy felt that she is over rewarded she will feel more motivated to do more task next time so she can overpay that
