TruYou and SeeChange were two of the biggest subdivisions. TruYou is the main project that kick started the Circle itself. TruYou was a combination of what we would compare to Facebook and Google which erased any possibility of being anonymus online. SeeChange was the idea of placing cameras everywhere and anywhere possible to eliminate crime. These two subdivisions could be projected as positions on an athletic team. Within every sport there are groups of people that practice together because their jobs may be very different than others. For example, a lot of the time in baseball there will be the outfielders, infielders, and pitchers and catchers practicing separately from the other groups. There are different priorities that each group needs to focus on and bring forward during game situations. When there is a pop fly hit into the outfield, you cannot depend on the pitcher to catch it because it is not necessarily their job to do so. However, the other players have to be able to depend on the person doing the job to do it right. If it is not executed properly, it may end up costing a game. In The Circle, when they are trying out the new project, PastPerfect, the Wise Men ask Annie for her help. Annie was “working out some last hurdles to help it happen.” They were “looking for the right volunteer within the Circle to try it out” (Eggers 351). This individual tends to be the one that instructs everyone on what tasks to complete and how to complete them. The Circle contains many people like this, however, that is their actual job. Once Mae became more knowledgeable about how the Circle functions, she became the “coach”. Dan instructed her that she would receive her own pod of newbies to help instruct. He says, “Whenever there’s a stumper and it needs to be bounced up to a more seasoned person, you’ll be there. You’re the veteran now” (Eggers 147). Mae is now in charge of her own pod and has to teach them how to handle situations and how to be able to ask someone for help when they need
