Leader comes in many forms; there are Inventors who have shaped the future with new and inspiring technologies, there are doctors who have healed the injured, and there are business experts who have created a platform for a new promising industry. But sometimes the most meaningful leaders are the ones who go day to day without recognition, quietly, but dramatically changing the course of people’s lives. In 2007 Andrew Noble moved up North to the frozen artic, Whale Cove, Nunavut. He lived there for 8 years experiencing a new culture, raising his family, and teaching. But, he was not just a teacher of academics; he taught life skills, kindness, and positivity to the people of Whale Cove. He had just graduated teacher collage and was looking for something new. This something new was 2,512 km away from home, but for Andrew the sky was the limit. Him and his wife Eloise wanted to experience a new culture, make a difference in the graduation rate, and take advantage of every opportunity given. “You can’t be scared of new things. You have to have a certain level of confidence and you just have to dive right in.” Leaders embrace this positive attitude and for Andrew, he didn’t even need to think twice. He had seen this example leadership in his father. His father was quite successful, but also had challenges along the way.
