Specifically, how a family binds together to support each other while protecting each other from outside entities. Having this background taught me the meaning of loyalty. Breaking it down further, the way that I was raised developed the importance that love has in my life. I had a loving family that encouraged me to express my love to others in words and actions. I believe those that show traits that are honest, kind, reliable, and caring are closely related to ethical behavior. To me, ethical behavior is dependent on how you treat others. Those that live by the traits above, in my opinion, tend to treat others with respect by being honest with them, being kind with them, are capable of being relied upon, and caring about their wants and needs, I believe those that show traits that are self-serving regardless of how it affects others, malicious, cruel, and the inability to empathize are closely related to unethical behavior. As I stated earlier, I believe that ethical behavior is dependent on how you treat others. Those that fail to empathize and see others as human beings with thoughts and feelings, in my opinion, cannot act in an ethical manner. This quality of person thinks about themselves before others and will use others as tools in order to further their own agendas. My goal of finishing my degree, my goal of becoming an officer, and my goal of becoming a pilot are at the forefront of my life right now. Although I would see personal satisfaction, and more money, I want to meet these goals to become a better role model to my children while being able to provide them a better life. After these goals are achieved, I worry about who I will become. Certainly, I will find other goals to work towards, however the ones that I am chasing fog over what the future holds. I want to be more focused on my career and I want to be the best pilot to ever fly in the Air Force. Ultimately, I will be the same person but with a little more focus on my professional development. I want to be a person with more compassion for others. With my definition of an ethical person, having compassion towards other bring people closer to being an ethical person. If I were dying right now, I would tell my best friend that life is a hard, cruel, bitter struggle until the day you die. Instead of wallowing about the inevitability of death and the uselessness of life, we should seek out meaning in our lives. We should be heroes to our children, providers to our spouses, role models to our peers, and humble students to our teachers. The meaning of our lives are determinate on how our loved ones remember us for we do not truly die until we are gone from the memories of those lives that we
