On November 8th, our very own Hazelwood High School students, Andrew Jackson, 17, B.J. Carson, 16, Robert Washington, 17, and Tyrone Mills, 17, were in a tragic car crash accident after a Hazelwood High School basketball game killing Robert Washington. Police say, the source of the crash was drinking and driving. As the boys were celebrating by drinking,, the driver (Andrew Jackson) had become intoxicated. Not fully alert, Jackson crashed the four-door chevy into a wall of a building located near the expressway. The car then began to set fire, evacuating the boys from the vehicle. All boys but Washington escaped. Washington was trapped inside the vehicle after his feet being thrown out the windshield. Police say Jackson and Carson attempted
