Andrew Jackson Is The Narrator Of A Homeless Person

Improved Essays
The narrator seems to be a lost. The narrator Jackson is describes as a homeless Powpow American Indian man. Jackson is also seen as an alcoholic and a generous man. When Jackson compares Junior and himself, Jackson describes himself as damaged and appears as a Indian after Columbus and Junior as a Indian before Columbus. This shows Jackson had a negative outlook for himself. Jackson describes himself and the way he lives as poor and gives the readers a feeling of pity for Jackson. Jackson first addresses the readers when he tells us how many allow him to use their clean employee bathrooms and we can't really know how that feels unless we are put into his shoes. I responded with pity for him and I couldn't imagine how sad it would be to be proud of someone giving you a decent human right of being able to use a clean bathroom. I learned in Powpow regalia Indians often made an imperfection in it to show only God can be perfect. This helped prove the Powpow regalia from the shop was Jackson's grandmothers as he had to find a hidden yellow bead. The quest adds a goal to the plot and leads to the conclusion. I think the author divided the story into different times to show how much could happen to a homeless man in a short period of time. Redeem I believe in the story means receiving a lost item, but also regaining lost honor.
