Andrew Jackson was born on march 15 of 1767. His birthplace was in a log cabin. He didn't have wealth, making him the fist president not wealthy. Although all the people knew this, they still loved him. His father died before his birth, and his mother died from chickenpox as well as one of his brothers. His other brother died in a war. Andrew was an orphan by age fourteen, and had 300 dollars left by inheritance from his grandfather. He used this money for education on law. He later moved to Nashville where he began a practice and married. He was known for laying the groundwork for the modern democratic party, and for his military successes, as well as presidency. He received the name old hickory due to his fiery will, and toughness.
