Andrew Hozier-Byrne was born on march 17, 1990 and is currently 25 years old. Hozier joined his first band at age 15 and both of his parents are natural singer and painters. he wrote his famous song “ take me to church” in his parents attic in Ireland. He writes songs with R and B, soul, gospel, and blues. Hozier wrote the song Take Me To Church about his frustration with the Catholic church and their stance on homosexuallity.
His hit single Take Me To Church released in the september of 2013 and went viral on youtube and reddit. Hozier got an international audience for that 1 song. The song reached #1 on the Irish iTunes singles chart. Hozier has always liked blues the best and learned about when he was very young from his dad. He performed
