Andrea Cornwall’s article, “Boys and Men Must Be Included in the Conversation on Equality” discusses a serious social issue of males commonly being excluded from the quest for gender equality. Andrea Cornwall wades through the reasons behind why males may be vilified, drawing correlations where the male demographic has increasingly struggled, emphasizing that males don’t have it as good as one may think. Although her facts may be relatively true, there’s much more to the story, because unfortunately the dilemma has gotten far worse and males are met with hostility especially if they happen to have a certain skin tone. the vile political climate of 2016 has virtually identical, paralleling similarities to the both historical events. The levels of irony and shame are beyond the unfathomable existence of us humans as a species. The article presents itself with phrases associated with the celebration of “girl power” that has been extensively perpetuated by the media for the past decade and a half, demonstrating how openly we exclude the inclusion of males from feeling that they have any form of worth or equity. Andrea Cornwall is perturbed by the dangerous degradation and isolation our society has on men. It is one of my most favorite documentaries! I appreciate so much from this film! The brilliant cinematography and excellent soundtrack! The countless stories and facts provided by impressive speakers that discuss the double standards and hypocrisy of a belief we blindly subscribe to. A message we all need to hear despite what our perspective might be. Science is about asking questions and finding the truth. I recommend this film to everyone! It was most definitely worth my money and time! My heartstrings strum with the pain we all have and hide. I look forward to new works that this film may inspire and perhaps a sequel that will continue to explore such an interesting topic that people are silenced for.
