The main character in “And of Clay Are We Created”, Rolf Carle, helps shows a great example of love. He was sent into a situation he did not mean to put himself in. In the end he really made the little girl’s last moment on earth special because he stayed with her. From seeing this man do this we get the assumption that there are still good people out there. By him taking the time out of his life he showed that people can have a bond with people they have never seen before or knew. By the end of the story Rolf had changed. He was able to lift all of the baggage he had from his past and was able to start clean. Through this story we see the true definition of friendship. They both sacrificed something, internally and externally. By him staying
