Ancient Olympics: How does it compare to the Modern Olympics? I am a twenty-four year old Olympian from Columbia, South Carolina and I am currently practicing for the 2016 Olympics which starts in 2 months. I will practice at Brazil, so I can be adapted to the conditions in Brazil for the Olympics. I will participate in the decathlon to try to win a gold medal; I got third place last time in London. I have always wondered how the Ancient Olympics would have been. Maybe the early Olympians trained on their own. The Ancient Olympics are different than the current Olympics because of rewards, training, and events. I am on my way to Brazil, it seems weird how everything looks different.
