In conclusion, the idea of what a hero is has changed from the ancient interpretation to a modified modern version which encompasses a wider array of people who are seen to be heroic in different ways. The ancient mythical and sometimes even real-life hero was seen to be anyone who was vaguely warriorlike. Most of the characters in ancient works by Homer would be considered a hero, and all those talked about in mythical stories are seen as heroes even if their actions were sometimes immoral such as Oedipus who killed his father and married his mother, or even Hercules who killed his own wife and child.
I think the main difference between the ancient hero and the modern hero is morality or even just a sense of trying to help
