To start through my list of the most pertinent things that come to mind, I shall discuss theater. Though I love both, Greek myth has to be my favorite. After reading Hesiod’s Theogony in class last year, I’ve probably read it 50 more times on my own. I’ve gone on doing personal research on all my favorite gods (Persephone, Nyx, Hades, Hekate, and more) and look into stories further by myself. It was being introduced to such a polytheistic religion and society that it made me begin to question my own stand point on religion. Seeing how the Greek gods as certain positions and how the stories were actually really cool I began to wonder, “well why not? that’s just like some winged dude being in charge of ___” and thoughts along those lines. I even looked into modern Hellenism and to see such passionate henotheistic people is really amazing. The religion has held on so strongly and been modernized to fit life today. The documentary I came across on youtube, “I Still Worship Zeus” was really cool. It gave personal accounts and even asked people which god they specifically felt connected with and
