The higher beings presented dwell in places superior to humans, since Mount Olympus and heaven are characterized as prestigious. They possess the power to control natural occurrences in the world and are worshipped in sanctuaries by their followers and receive sacrificial offerings. The followers in each religion dress in their best garments when visiting their place of worship. Music is an important component in both religions, and the gods and goddesses along with God show great appreciation for animals. Sprinkling water on people holds significance in both cultures and represents purity. The stories behind the deities in Ancient Greeks possess similarities with the stories in Christianity and similar religions in modern America. Prometheus’ creation of man by using clay and water is similar to the process of creation described in the Bible. Athena’s olive tree represents peace like the olive branch found in the dove’s mouth after it returned to Noah’s ark. Hades manipulative persona tricked Persephone into eating the pomegranate seeds and parallels the story of Adam and Eve when the serpent presented the fruit as temptation for Eve.
