There is an extreme amount of new things I’ve learned about the Ancient Greeks and their beliefs. When thunder or lighting strikes across the sky the Greeks believed that it is a angry god, therefore they would pray or sacrifice themselves to please the gods. Greeks believed that the sun was pulled across the sky by a chariot each day. If the sun as pulled by chariot you would think they saw the chariot each day. Just because the Greeks did not know truly know where the thunder came from or how to explain it does not make them stupid. No god was prefect or an all-knowing god, the gods had human like flaws.
