The ancient Egyptians were some of the first to use the ox-drawn plow. There were taxes on crops which was not much money for the workers. Some Egyptians just had to work in awful environments, conditions, and positions. Common Egyptians had houses, and they were made of brick made of sun-dried mud, which is also known as adobe. There were mats used to keep flies and insects out. Nobles usually had larger homes, and they had their homes divided into three parts. Sewage was disposed onto into rivers, pits, and streets. Egyptians worshipped many different gods. They were definitely polytheistic when it came to their religion, because they worshipped so many different gods. There were at least 700 combined gods and goddesses to create new deities. One of the most famous gods was Amun Ra, the sun god. Some of their gods came from myths. Egyptians loved life on earth, but they wanted their lives to continue after death. They believed in preservation of the body and providing the death with required essentials for their afterlife.
