Ancient Egypt was a place of magnificent art, and inventions, with huge pyramids, and a variety of different gods. It may seem like you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between each ancient civilization, but they contrast in many ways. Ancient Egypt was responsible for many technological advances, and some we still use today. Ancient Egyptians way of life fascinates all that take the time to learn about it.

Egyptians invented a writing form called hieroglyphics, which used pictures-like symbols to describe certain things (Cribb, J. T., Klee, M. B., & Holdren, J. ,2004). In Ancient Egypt they drew two dimensional side view styles that only showed one side of objects or people. Egyptians used local gemstones and metals such as lapiz lazuli and gold to make clothing and jewelry.
When making the great pyramids, Egyptians used long ramps and pulleys to push up the giant bricks (Cribb, J. T., Klee, M. B., & Holdren, J. ,2004). Egyptian citizens made their home out of mud bricks instead of using wood or stone.Egyptians liked to stay clean, but had bad dental hygiene, so they invented perfume to smell good. Egyptians used a special metallic material called kohl to create a substance that darkenend their eyelashes and eyebrows (Cribb, J. T., Klee, M. B., & Holdren, J. ,2004).
