Ancient Astronauts Theory

“The ancient astronaut theory all started in 1968, when Swiss researcher and author Erich Von Daniken published a book known as Chariots of the Gods, which became an immediate bestseller.” Within the book he put his hypothesis that, “‘the technology and religions of many ancient civilizations were given to them by ancient astronauts who were welcomed as gods” (Ancient Astronaut Theory). In the book he gives evidence and reasons as to why he believes in this theory, but one thing is wrong with all this. All the “evidence” stating that ancient astronauts visited earth, inspired human culture, and influenced human advancement; things such as cave paintings, stone artifacts, and ancient structures; it’s all just art and architecture, we have no …show more content…
All the ancient little stone artifacts could have very well just been that. Toys for the younger children to play with, even now we give our children fun little toys to keep them busy and their imaginations busy. These can’t possibly be listed as concrete evidence because there’s no evidence to back it up and prove that those paintings and those artifacts were inspired by ancient astronauts. They don’t even prove if ancient astronauts really visited Earth. That leads me to my next argument on ancient astronauts, proof of visitation by ancient astronauts. Ancient astronaut theorists are constantly claiming that there is concrete evidence on ancient astronaut visitation. One most commonly used is the ancient astronauts in The Bible and other ancient texts. They use “evidence” from the Sodom and Gomorrah story; the story in which the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed. Let us imagine for a moment that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed according to the ancient astronaut theorist’s theory; the theory that these biblical cities were destroyed by a nuclear blast and not by the angels. The theory just makes zero sense right off the bat, because not once is there any mention of the shock wave

Different materials from the past can give historians and archaeologists a look into what the past was like in the places they were found. Although any pieces of evidence are valuable, some are more helpful than others to develop a better idea of the past than others. Physical evidence has been found in the Neolithic Era through Globeke Tepe, in Phoenicia through the shipwreck of Uluburun, and in Egypt through temples and mummies. Globeke Tepe is a structure that was built in the Neolithic Era. It is made up of a series of circular structures and is covered in complex carvings and features.…

Controversial Book Puts Judaism in the Hot Seat For the author, Judaism is not even free from spiritual and political machinations by a few individuals. Aerospace materials scientist Sami M. El-Soudani deeply studied the Abrahamic religions – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam – for 20 years while authoring a great number of scientific papers. In his critical study of the three religions, he came to realize that the “search for God who demands our ‘faith in the unseen’ has been the most difficult test of our human intelligence and consciousness.” He then proceeded to write a series of books critical of the aforementioned religions, starting with Judaism in In the Beginning: Hijacking of the Religion of God: Volume 1: Judaism (Xlibris, 2009).…

Over five hundred years ago, cleric Diego de Landa approached an abandoned society lost in the jungles of Central America. His findings led him to make assumptions of these people he marked as savages. De Landa denounced these people as “idolatry, divorce, sacrificial, and slave traders” (qtd. in Gibson 13). Nearly three centuries after de Landa’s account, the U.S explorer John Lloyd Stephens noted his discovery of an altar among the ruins of a Central American city called Copán, with the company of British architect Fredrick Catherwood (Gibson 13).…

Some of this information that we believe to be true may be totally incorrect but due to limitations, archaeologists have not been able to figure it out or not recognising any mistakes made. This is why work is constantly done on sites to make sure the correct information is extracted to make the right conclusions about certain things that are not given to archaeologists. This takes a lot of time and effort from archaeologists and historians. The particular sources researched are not always helpful.…

On many occasions we are reminded that the US were the first people to step foot on the moon. If archeologists discovered my room after its thousand-year abandonment, they would come to many conclusions about my life and culture. They could assume that I was a religious, educated student who lived in a fortunate family based off of my Christian books, textbooks, and jewelry. The archeologists may conclude that I lived in a culture with the freedom of religion and concern for the earth’s resources based on my Bibles and numerous global warming books. Furthermore, my baby teeth, carved wooden art, clothing, and pressed flowers would enable them to use carbon dating to calculate my relative age range and time period that I lived in. On the opposing end of the spectrum, they may come to drastically different conclusions as well.…

This evidence states that the astronauts brought back rocks from the Moon’s surface. ALL the scientists who examined the rock agreed that it was a rock from the moon. If all the scientists were trained Professionals (like I believe they would be) then those rocks must have been from the Moon. The fourth and final reason is my nineteenth piece of evidence. This evidence tells us that on the Moon’s surface you can actually see the Lunar Buggies tracks.…

Cave of Forgotten Dreams What could an old piece of art tell us about the lives of early humans? Believe it or not, old pieces of art from the Paleolithic era has lead us to amazing discoveries and interpretations about the life style of the early humans. 30,000 years ago, keeping records of events had no importance to humans, their only goal in life was to survive. Even though there is no clear record of prehistoric human events, painters and sculptors of that time left behind some cave artworks that continue to exist until our recent days.…

The area I am talking about is that we brought pieces of the moon back with us, rocks that would be nearly impossible to replicate here on earth and would actually be easier to gather by traveling to the moon and bringing them back with us. These rocks are laden with tiny holes from meteoroid impacts that are only possible on a planet with little to no atmosphere. Also, if examined, one would find isotopes that are the result of reactions with highly charged particles that could, again, only happen on a planet with little to no atmosphere. Another piece of evidence that implies a moon landing is the size of the team; at its peak, the size of the team that landed man on the moon was over 300,000. You would think after 45 years someone would have come forward with the supposed…
