She also uses a metaphor that is just as powerful as her idioms; "Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along.” When listening to a song, most people listen passively until they realize that they relate to the song. Then, because they relate to a word or a phrase, they listen actively (Gourley par. 7).
