They determine who will bounce over the wall, or who will stare at the wall waiting for it to move by itself when it won’t. People who choose to act like Tigger will have a better quality of life and can work through difficulties with significantly less effort than those with an Eeyore attitude. Acting like Tigger simply makes your life easier. Some brick walls are impossible to get through, but being a Tigger makes dealing with those situations less distressing. For example, Randy was diagnosed with terminal cancer, yet he always had hope he would live until he grew old. He wrote, “Someone asked me what I want on my tombstone. I replied: 'Randy Pausch: He Lived Thirty Years After a Terminal Diagnosis.' (197)”Although he knew it was unlikely, it kept him at peace and upbeat during his life.
