There is a much greater difference in the two songs than the voices of the singers, each has its own style, rhythm and beat. Moreover, the two songs do not give you the exact feelings and the mood varies greatly listening to the two pieces. Therefor, the songs are very contrasting but also similar in some ways. Rankin’s song is mostly composed of the saxophone joined with lyrics and is very slow going in a soft tone with no loud sounds or change in the rhythm. I believe that is what makes the song sound more warmhearted. On the other hand, Baxter’s song uses the orchestration which is assigning the parts of the musical texture making it lively.
