I ripped my hand from hers and jumped on the table, narrowly missing our lunch, spread out on the table. “I’m not giving it back until you say sorry for stealing my cornbread!” Our nanny finally came running out “What on earth is going on here? Both of you say sorry now and I’ll get you another piece of cornbread for heaven’s sake!” I reluctantly handed over the prized teddy bear and sat back down on the hard, stone bench. It infuriated me that Constance got her way again. I was the bad guy, stealing the teddy bear, but really she shouldn’t be that attached to a stupid stuffy and she was the one who stole my bread.
