A time to kill is a 1996 American crime drama film by Joel Schumacher. The area of diversity that are addressed in this film is basically on issues of race. The plot of the story is, two white man come across a ten year old black girl name Tonya, which they violently rape and beat her, also hanged her but she survived. The two men got arrested. Tonya’s father, Carl Lee Hailey, contacts a white lawyer named Jake Brigance, which he admits that the rapists might walk free. Carl enters the county courthouse and shoot both of the rapists and unintentionally badly injuring a police officer. Carl got arrested, and Jake agrees to defend him. The KKK begins in the area. Freddie, the brother of one of the rapists makes death threats to Jake for supportive

Personally the movie meant to make me feel this way, everyone has a different type of feeling and understanding. I believe that not everyone might think the same but I hope that at least the feeling are similar for anyone that watches this movie, because it will take a heartless person to not feel the same way. The obvious conflict addressed by the film was the issues of race, the white Americans and the black Africans. The resolution of the movie was that Jack won the case and Carl was set free. There wouldn’t better ways of solving the conflict. I could not imagine myself in a situation like the one depicted in the film, not at all. I do not know how I would have reacted because I cannot even imagine such a horrible situation, imagination is completely different than reality. I would rate the film on a scale of 5, it is a powerful movie, although, it is too painful, a movie that everyone must watch and meditate on how black people have suffered in the years
