Societal Environmental Analysis
According to the textbook, societal environment is: “Economic, technological, political-legal, and sociocultural environmental forces that do not directly touch on the short-run activities of an organization but influence its long-run decisions” (Wheelen, Hunger, Hoffman, and Bamford, pg. 93, 2015). The economic forces would be anything that regulates material things and money. Technological issues are problem solving initiatives. Political issues are factors that regulate rules and sociological issues are the regulations of ethical viewpoints, morals and values. (Wheelen, Hunger, Hoffman, and Bamford, 2015).
