This essay will serve the purpose of analyzing the external factors of the company Church & Dwight. Within this essay the reader will see the societal environmental analysis and industry analysis. Second Personal Assignment Church & Dwight is a domestic household product brand that has bought and produced brands that consumers have grown to love. This discourse will attempt to address this issue of societal environmental and industrial analysis.
Societal Environmental Analysis
According to the textbook, societal environment is: “Economic, technological, political-legal, and sociocultural environmental forces that do not directly touch on the short-run activities of an organization but influence its long-run decisions” (Wheelen, Hunger, Hoffman, and Bamford, pg. 93, 2015). The economic forces would be anything that regulates material things and money. Technological issues are problem solving initiatives. Political issues are factors that regulate rules and sociological issues are the regulations of ethical viewpoints, morals and values. (Wheelen, Hunger, Hoffman, and Bamford, 2015).
