Analyzing Sherman Alexie's Short Story

This is a short story was written by, Sherman Alexie, it is a story of an Indian boy going through various school years. This story is told in first person by a character named Victor. The author purposely made the story into sections so that the story only tells influence parts of his life, this is used to inform the audience about his education and how it was filled with racism from fellow classmates and teachers. The author incorporates imagery in his story to give the audience a look as to what was going on throughout his school year, and how the students and teachers treated him along the way. The tone of this story is depressing and melancholic, because his life was filled with hate and racism during his school years at the reservation
