Physical Development
In terms of physical development, Nora is very advanced for her age. In order to fully assess her physical development in terms of gross motor skills, I asked Nora to join me in a game of simon says. I asked if she thought we could check off all of the tasks on my list, and she excitedly accepted the challenge. Nora is able to walk as well as an adult forwards and backwards. She can skip and gallop and also has great balance. When asked to stand and hop on one foot, she did so with ease and could balance for at least seven seconds on each foot. She can run and change directions quickly and loves to show off her speed. To assess her fine motor skills, Nora and I did some drawing and I was able to observe her impressive abilities.

The body she drew consisted of a triangle skirt, a line for the body and two for the legs, and a circle for the head. When asked to do so, Nora could draw a circle, cross, and square quite easily. She wrote both her name and my name on her drawing, proving her letter drawing abilities. Through her drawing, I was able to assess her fine motor skills and I also got a beautiful picture for my wall! I am thoroughly impressed with Nora’s fine and gross motor skills, as she was able to complete most all of the developmental milestones of her age group.

However, just two days later on March 14, she was playing with a group of three girls and seemed to be very happy doing so. She does like to play with other little broncos, but does not like to play with too many at once. On March 28, She was playing with Myra and Quinten and seemed to be enjoying

She loves to talk about her family and to tell stories about toys, books, or stories just from her imagination. Her smile during music is radiant and her silliness during play is contagious. She has grown so much throughout the course of the year, and is continuing to do so. Her milestone checklist shows just how successful she is compared to other children her age, and her bubbly personality can light up a room. She has achieved many great things developmentally, and still has room to grow and to develop her skills in the
