Eric Bentley is stating his opinion that all theatre can be reduced to “A performs B for C”. He thinks that theatre is just someone performing for someone else (6) and without someone watching then there would be no theatre. For him A, is the actors who are performing, B, the play for, C, the audience.

In regards to theatre ephemerality basically means live theatre that immediately becomes part of the past. Basically there are no set characters cast, no set props, and sometimes not even a set venue. It is decided where it will be held just days before it is preformed and whomever is available for a role is thrown into that role, any props they need is gathered from what is around them (19).

Many parents were in an uproar when this video aired and it’s mainly because of the fact that it is way to sexual for people who are underage. I suppose normally that most artists would just assume that parents will allow their children to watch things that are pre approved. I don’t know if that is good enough though. Nicki is well-known to a lot of young girls. I would even go so far as to say a major part of her fan base is young girls. When you know you have fans in such a young group, I think you should be making more of an effort to censor what you say so as not to lead the children in the wrong direction. She literally talks about how big a guy’s penis is and how good her vagina was that it put him to sleep. She also mentions taking pills and being high and at one point mentions cocaine. The whole video is about sex and drugs, this is completely unacceptable. How is this appropriate for children and young teens? Today’s girls need to respect themselves better and not think that sex is so important and that drugs are okay. The people who chose to air this video should have censored it to either be restricted to certain ages or better yet censored out all the inappropriate words and

Normal clothing was defined as neither revealing nor tight. The fourth variable we measured was if the women acted in a sexual manner or not. We defined sexual action as taking off clothing, suggestive movements such as dancing, heavy making out, and assumed sexual intercourse. The fifth variable we measured was the age group of the women (pre-teen, teen, 20s, 20s to 30s, and older). We then estimated which age group the women of each music video belonged to.…

Kid Rock even said that the music videos were “more about girls” and how the most important part of a woman is their sexuality. inappropriate goes hand in hand. Monae voiced her opinion in the song saying, “Is it peculiar that she twerk in the mirror? And am I weird to dance alone late at night?” The frustration in this message conveys how she wants to dance freely like a child at night, but it is not able to because of her age. It is more acceptable for teens or young adults to practice this kind of behavior instead of a grown woman.…

What upsets me the most about the clip was that some people would say that because of the way she dresses and the way she portrays herself in her music videos she was asking for it and that she shouldn't be surprised by the way he was touching her. This was so wrong considering that she was fully dressed with no skin exposed and she also looked genuinely a shocked and uncomfortable by his actions. This shows that the jezebel stereotype isn't true because if Nicki Minaj was such a…

It was as if being heterosexual was the same as being a mass murderer. All the other children in the school drove the girl to suicide over something as pointless as being heterosexual. After watching the video, I realized how this treatment is given to homosexual people all the time. If a person of another religion watched the video, I think they would see what is wrong with discriminating based on sexuality as well. No matter what religion, any person can see that sexual discrimination is wrong if it leads to suicide.…

This video is aimed towards showing homosexuals as dangerous people, and how they cannot be trusted. The director doesn’t show how straight people prey on young kids more often than homosexuals. This film has no back up or a claim to what it is presiding, it is stating random facts in which they believe to be true. This film lacks credibility, and the film is extremely biased and showcases homosexuals as a threat or a virus that will be caught if not careful. This film tries to make everything about homosexuals a bad thing, that being homosexual is dangerous and that you should go near one.…

The submissive role of women in a relationship is not a new concept and has been a custom for thousands of years. Numerous generations of cultures all around the world believed for centuries that a woman 's role was by the side of her man. Some cultures still believe this, regardless of the truth. First world countries such as the United States and Canada, would argue that women are liberated and equal, and though this is true in most senses, they are still portrayed as objects in pop culture media. The music video 'Anaconda ' is a prime example of this objectification.…
