In the short story The Third Wish ,Written By Joan Aiken Mr Peters is caring because he uses his wishes on Leita. Thinking about Leita “Mr. Peters [blows] it out the window and [uses] his second wish to turn Leita back into a swan”(172). This shows Mr. Peters is caring because he uses his second wish on Leita and not on himself. Most other people would have use their second wish on themselves and not consider others. Thinking in his house Mr Peters just uses his second wish and says “ Humans and Swans are better in their own shape”(173). This shows Mr Peters is caring because other people would think that it is good to change a human or a swan into a different animal. Mr Peters cares about leita because he has past experiences with changing
