Theseus’s judgement of the case brought before him tells us that his views of women are inferior to that of men. He claims that her worth, or beauty, goes back to her father. Not only does this reflect his view of women, but it can be scene as an objectification to the worth of a women. He also claims that she is just a wax figure of her father, her god. All of these examples reflect how low he thinks of women. “To you your father should be as a god: One that composed your beautifes; yea, and one To whom you are but as a form in wax“( 1:1:49-51)

the first argument she violates is that she should never receive gifts from men. she has received many gifts from Lysander. “you have given her many poems, and exchanged love token with my child…and rings and ribbons and baubles, knick-knacks, presents..” she has also violated the rule that she should never disobey her father. she has ._____________
Hermia’s dialouge with THeaseus shows that Hermia has a strong personality and is aware of everything going on around her. firstly, she is witty and replies with snarky comments to her duke. “So is Lysander.” (1:1:54) Also, she asks THeaseus to tell her of her fate, so that she can make a decision on her own. “I know not why power made bold, now how it may concern my modesty in such a presence here to plead my thought’ but i beseech your grace, that i may know the worst that may befall me in this case, if i refuse to wed Demetrious.” (1:1:61-66)
Helena is not ugly but she is homely. This is because Demetrius finds her unattractive. Also, All of Athens finds her beautiful. She says, “Through Athens I am thought as fair as she. But what of that? Demetrious thinks not so, He will not know what all but he do
