K-Love reported that Lea’s skin picking involved Lea crossing both of her hands and digging her fingers into her upper arms. During my direct assessment, I observed Lea for five days on different days, times and locations. After three days into my assessment, I changed the definition of skin picking to any instance or attempts Lea crosses both of her arms and digging fingers into his/her upper arms or scratching and/or pinching on any part of her body because the topography of the behavior was not as accurate as K. Love had described. I discussed it with K-Love and we decided to include scratching and/or pinching on any part of her body in the previous definition.
According to the report from the ABA data, Lea engaged in higher rates of skin picking during community outing. Therefore, baseline data showed the relationship between antecedent community outing and the problem behavior. As indicated by the ABC data, skin picking occurred 62% during community outing, 31% during social interaction and 7% during demand. This data on the consequences of the problem behavior confirmed that escape/avoidance was a function. I hypothesized that skin picking is maintained by

Not everybody will like you—it’s a statement I've always heard, understood and accepted. What I didn't realized until fairly recently in my life, is that some people take this to the next level. Some people will hate you for reasons seemingly unknown or unreasonable to you. It all started with the rehearsals of the 2015 school spring musical of The Addams Family that my friend, we'll just refer to him as Pugsley, myself and a couple other friends, were met with the presence of a then junior, who we'll refer to as, Katrina.…

“I will not let my days slip away, I will stand up on to feet, and I’ll be complete.” ~Blixemi It all started when I was in second or third grade. I always seemed different and off from most girls and had a lot of friends that were female, which was normal in elementary, to have same-gender friends. Though I had so many friends to play with, I always seemed to wander to where the boys hung out. Usually, I would mess around with my younger brother’s friends.…

People acting in an aggressive, intimidating or destructive manner that negatively influences others’ quality of life are the behaviours deemed antisocial (Squires, 2008). In legislative terms, the Crime and Disorder Act (1998) deems antisocial behaviour as behaving in manner that induces “harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household”. In addition, it was argued that the defining aspect characterizing behaviour as antisocial is its accruing effect on individuals or groups (Millie et al., 2005a). Therefore, annoying or offensive behaviour may become antisocial if repeated or particularly targeted. Also, antisocial behaviour differs across time, space and context specific behaviour and is dependent on aesthetic…

A variety of evidence, from narrow studies of amity pat- terns among children to the very broadest gregarious statistics, points toward correlations between convivial omission and aggression. But what causes what? Many theorists have concluded, very plausibly, that truculent demeanor leads to convivial omission, because people disrelish associating with someone whose comportment is deleterious or disruptive. Our findings do not prove that theory erroneous, but they do fortify the antithesis direction of causality. Omission from convivial groups and relationships—even just aurally perceiving a forecast about being alone during the distant future—appears to engender a vigorous propensity toward truculent…

The correlation between body adornment and these secondary deviances can be attributed to numerous things; for instance, having a more rebellious and reckless personality, being close to others who are adorned, trying to differ from the norm, and even because one may not know all the risks that accompany these deviant behaviours. Various choices we make in adulthood may also contribute to knowledge of deviant behaviours and decrease both primary and secondary…
