Analyzing Grimm's Story

Decent Essays
I loved both the stories. I love the somewhat modern twist in the film version. The fact that he had the Grimm’s in the story in the beginning asking about the real story shows to me that what I read about the director not liking there version is true. It’s almost like he’s telling them this is what the story should be like, not your way. In a way I kind of agree with him by the fact that the step sisters are basically paralyzed in the end of Grimm’s story. In the film the way it was handled is what really would have happen. In both stories I like that they show that if you do good things you will be reworded in the end. I also like how the Grimm’s can help kid that are abused. It can show them that even if you parents hurt you, and you live

I liked both of these stories very much. I like stories, books, and movies that end like these two stories. I like to use my imagination to think about what happened after the story ends. Sometimes, I even think of more than one ending, one good and one tragic. The first thing that can be compared in these two stories is the reason why each boy ran away.…

I really enjoyed both films completely. Both films give me a greater grasp on my heritage. In the first film, I liked the way it opened up with the American flag waving and the words on top of it. I liked the way they got most of the story from an actual source/witnesses that was there. For example, Mary Frances Berry, she saw the headlines on the case against the board of education and could quote what her teacher said.…

She is however punished at the end in true fairy tale style when forced to dance in ‘hot iron slippers’ until her tragic death. (Grimm 178) The Queen’s actions are heaving with underlying oedipal issues as her hysteric jealousy brings her to murder her own stepdaughter. Out of the two representatives out of the “The Tell Tale Heart,” the live action is better. The live action was better because it had more of the story in the movie like he actually moaned in the first one and he was actually cut up in a bath tub like the story unlike the animation. When he was cut up it was in the living room which the cops should of seen the blood on the floor so that why they did it in the bath so it would not leave any blood seeable.…

Like any young child growing up fairy tales were everything. They were begged for at night time when sleep was scarce. Fate, a prince, and a princess basically ruled the world of adolescent literature novels. They were a fun way to hear about the mighty knight defeating the dragon to meet the gorgeous princess who was so cruelly locked away. With the thought of telling fairy tales were only for children, film industries are transforming the fairy tale into a realm away from children.…

The Catholic Church classifies pride, lust, gluttony, envy, greed, laziness, and wrath as the seven deadly sins. In Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales, he analyzes each of these sins and their influence on the lives of pilgrims making their way to Canterbury.
