Analyzing Ford's Advertising

The media plays a huge part in today’s society because it is everywhere! People have it on their phones, televisions, and even the radio! Media is also filled with tons of ads or commercials. These commercials like to persuade everyday people to buy their product. These companies must use many different techniques to have a sufficient impact on their target audience. A commercial I see a lot of the time is from Ford Motor Company showing off their new 2015 F-150 Truck. This new Ford commercial is effective towards the hardworking men that are constantly doing things in the outdoors. The opening scene with begins with a man at worksite walking towards the something. At first, people will see the man and then question what he is walking toward. …show more content…
To start with, Ford appeals to logic by using many statistics. For instance, they state hard facts about the truck such as how light it is and how it is the number one selling truck in America. By doing so, they are pushing the field working man’s opinion towards their product because they want the truck that can do the most. Next, they appeal to the values of the audience. In particular, they show all the safety features that the truck possesses. This is aimed towards the consumer and their family because you would not want to drive your family around in an unsafe vehicle. Ford’s philosophy is “the safer the better” and they believe that almost everyone would agree. Lastly, the commercial aims to make the consumer believe in the product. To illustrate, Ford expresses that they have been in the business since day one and how many of their vehicles are still on the road today. All in all, Ford Motor Company utilized how the working man thinks and used his feelings to aim towards the safer, more reliable …show more content…
Through the use of visual, sounds, and ethic appeal, Ford was able to put together a minute worth of video that has made many men that work in the field buy their product. As said previously, they commercial used a lot of visual effects that were very compelling towards the audience of the hardworking man. Also stated, Ford used logic which could appeal to the emotion of the consumer in a positive way. As a final point, the commercial used a variety of language and sound to bring in the audience in a very successful way. In conclusion, Ford has used many different techniques to be able to persuade the hardworking men in the most effective way
