To start with, Ford appeals to logic by using many statistics. For instance, they state hard facts about the truck such as how light it is and how it is the number one selling truck in America. By doing so, they are pushing the field working man’s opinion towards their product because they want the truck that can do the most. Next, they appeal to the values of the audience. In particular, they show all the safety features that the truck possesses. This is aimed towards the consumer and their family because you would not want to drive your family around in an unsafe vehicle. Ford’s philosophy is “the safer the better” and they believe that almost everyone would agree. Lastly, the commercial aims to make the consumer believe in the product. To illustrate, Ford expresses that they have been in the business since day one and how many of their vehicles are still on the road today. Through the use of visual, sounds, and ethic appeal, Ford was able to put together a minute worth of video that has made many men that work in the field buy their product. As said previously, they commercial used a lot of visual effects that were very compelling towards the audience of the hardworking man. Also stated, Ford used logic which could appeal to the emotion of the consumer in a positive way. As a final point, the commercial used a variety of language and sound to bring in the audience in a very successful way.
