Inferiority. This stage occurs throughout childhood from five to twelve years. Kids at this stage are learning to do sums, read and write, and do things on their own. The kid now feels the necessity to win consent through demonstrating certain competencies based on the social values and starts to develop a sense of pride in their success. When the child is unable to develop the particular skill, they feel the world is demanding and therefore develop a sense of inferiority. For Little Bitty Pretty, the developmental crisis happens as a result of the constant arguments and conflicts between her parents. Also, she feels a sense of accomplishment after she shuts the door to prevent her drunken dad to enter into the room the father yells at her mother, and then she tells him to yell at her, when he yells, she tells him to yell again and as he comes to her because he is annoyed by her, she shuts the door and smiles. Such shows a sense of pride and fulfillment because her father is not able to enter into the room.
