In my Junior year of high school, I decided to apply to out of state colleges, since I did not want to be anywhere near home. In the middle of the semester, I realized, I did not enjoy the experience of being eighteen hours and forty-five minutes drive away from home or spend 4-5 hours on a plane. First and Foremost, I want to transfer from my current university because the Biomedical Engineering program has not yet been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).Upon finding out about the accreditation status of my degree program, I decided I wanted to transfer to a school that has been accredited…

As a possible incoming student, who not only desires to, but needs to learn and attend a favorable campus, the things that I can offer and/or bring are my experiences and skills. I will try to help enrich the campus community as much as I can. Although, my experiences and interests may be easily overlooked by some because of the simple fact that I am “only seventeen,” and that everyone is still continuously evolving. I believe I can still bring something to only help enrich the community. A particular experience that I know differentiates from others is, being Hmong.…

I can honestly say that this week was the week I spent the most time in our computer lab assisting students while students were completing their applications. This fall semester all CSU campuses are utilizing a brand new online admission application; therefore, a lot of learning is happening while helping students. Students have many questions that at times I am not able to answer nor counselors and we cannot provide students an answer based on our assumptions instead I have been calling admission officers from various four-year institutions to seek clarification. Through this experience, I have learned how collaboration between four-year…
