Analysing characteristics of existing interactive videos in media

In this essay I will attempt to understand the principals of video technology of two different types of interactive media, such as viral marketing videos and generated videos, I will be explaining the difference between the two while giving examples. With the knowledge that I will have after doing this essay, I will be able to create my own piece of work which will be a video.

The term interactive media comes from the use of media, such as electronic text, graphics, moving images and sound in different platforms where people can interact with it. The way that they can interact is by commenting a video and sharing it. However, people can interact but not completely because

This video went viral on different platforms, such as facebook and youtube, it was probably shown on TV as well.

There are different purposes in this video, the first one is to sell the product, because they are a company, it could be also something educative, however it could be only a strategy of marketing to make people have a certain view of the brand.

The video has an HD quality which makes the image look clear and professional, the video was made in documentary style, that is because it would be more credible which is something that is done in documentaries. The editing of the video was very simple, that is because it would make it more appealing towards people they would focus more on the subject instead of the actual presentation of the video. However, there was slow-motion to make it more dramatic while the girls were doing things that are not usually shown when people refer to the phrase “like a girl”. The background music was calm; this was because it was only playing while the slow-motion was

In the video above, there is a girl talking about how she can 't keep her projects to herself and how she can 't do things without telling people that she is going to do it. This video is also about changing like the one that I analysed before.
In the start of the video, we are able to see that there is a lot of overlapping of images, this is something that is developed throughout the video and she (probably) made it because it would make the video more interesting and because that’s her style of videos and how she is recognizable. In the video she shows a lot of her eyes, that can be because the eyes express a lot of emotions and the topic that she is talking about is quite sensitive. While she is speaking there is a music playing in the background, the music is plaid very subtle. She is explaining that she is changing in her way of acting and the way she thinks.
In the video, she says that when she tells someone about a project that she is about to do, and people have positive thoughts about, it’s like she will not do it anymore, because she already has the approval of someone, so that is what she is trying to change and the "secrets" that she can 't

This documentary "Dreamworlds- Desire, Sex, and Power in music Videos" tries to explain how the popular culture influences contemporary music video and how this is affecting today’s culture. “Dreamworlds” insists that these narratives and cultural attitudes have shaped these music videos into sexualizing women, and filtering the identities of both men and women into “myths” about sexuality and gender. The subject group in these music videos tended to be mostly about women and how they are misrepresented and used in popular culture. Overall I agree with the film message that these music videos are misleading and only demonstrated with one point of view in which the audience can see through. For instance, the women are sexualized and presented as mere objects of for the video and men as well.…

Monae's video "Q.U.E.E.N." from her second album titled The Electric lady exemplifies her influence on the society where you can be judged for your appearance. This video was a statement declaring her happiness with who she is despite the judgment from others in a society where your image, your cultural values, and what is viewed as acceptable and appropriate behavior is looked down upon. This video gives a clear idea on how people pass judgment on someone just because of their image.…

Portraying black women as Jezebel’s by nature is a long -lasting stereotype. The jezebel stereotype is one that has been used to put down African American women since the beginning of slavery. Throughout history the white women were seen as pure, hardworking and respectable, while black women were always seen as promiscuous, seductive and tempting men. Maria Miller Stewart who was a servant, teacher, abolitionist and women's rights activist shows through her literary work "Religion and the Pure Principles of Molarity, the Sure Foundation on which we Must Build." that black women show the same qualities as any other race of women and that they don't deserve the title of Jezebel. Also there will be images of how African American women…

Why do students remember everything that is on television and forget what is taught in lecture? Students’ skills are best improved through practice, but before practice, observation is a key component to learning. For example, even if the students are given the steps on how to perform the return demonstration, they want to see the actual procedure to be more confident that they can accomplish it on their own. Students can use visual media as a way to retain concepts and ideas.…

In 2015, Canada saw an 80 per cent increase in the number of people who cancelled their cable subscription compared with 2014 (Harris, 2016). The “cord-cutting” phenomenon is spreading rapidly as more people start switching from the classic to the new media. Netflix, a subscription based service that offers a huge catalog of movies, series and shows on-demand, and YouTube, a website in which anybody can upload any video, are two major players. They are able to do so through a technology called streaming, which means to listen to a song or watch a video in real time via Internet instead of downloading it. With the popularisation of the Internet and faster speeds, it is now possible to watch any video in real time and in a good quality.…
