Analyzing Cardi B's Address

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cardi B was the special guest being interviewed. Her appearance and demeanor received over 16million views on YouTube. She elaborated on her success, the engagement with Offset, and more. The YouTube video was all of 5minutes and 20 seconds. Cardi B had an overconfident way of presenting herself.
During the interview Cardi B chose to answer most of the questions in a mindless manner. Jimmy Fallon did great keeping his composure, the things she said usually would have resulted in a communication breakdown. As soon as the show started he thanked her for being on the show. She responded with “Thank you” then made a noise (oooohhwww). It took Jimmy a minute to gather his thoughts, considering his facial expressions. Jimmy then asked Cardi B asked about her engagement with

She was asked about her feelings on the Grammy’s award. She asked him “you want to know something, you want to know something?” in a joking manner. He looked a bit confused, and stated “yea, mmhm, yea, and yes”. That must have been really awkward for him seeing that it is his show. He asked her a question and she replied back with a question.
In future interviews which I’m sure there will be, she should work on her self-representation, her responses, and mostly self-control. She could roll play with someone to practice good communication skills. She could have someone write a couple of her responses down and help her edit them.
My perception of the interview was, does she really talk like this, or is this another one of those publicity stunts? I’m not saying that she is uneducated, but she should know that there are places, people, and a certain time that you should act properly. A live interview should have been one place she knew to present herself accordingly. She is a character; I found the part about being asked to be a Godmother more often, when they know you have money so true, and

Portraying black women as Jezebel’s by nature is a long -lasting stereotype. The jezebel stereotype is one that has been used to put down African American women since the beginning of slavery. Throughout history the white women were seen as pure, hardworking and respectable, while black women were always seen as promiscuous, seductive and tempting men. Maria Miller Stewart who was a servant, teacher, abolitionist and women's rights activist shows through her literary work "Religion and the Pure Principles of Molarity, the Sure Foundation on which we Must Build." that black women show the same qualities as any other race of women and that they don't deserve the title of Jezebel. Also there will be images of how African American women…

Liked listening to Michelle Martin but something has happened since the election. It wasn't notable at first but there was a slow progression of her right wing beliefs hitting the airwaves. On Saturday's show she had two political guests on, Tom Delay a convicted but later overturned criminal and Tom Perez, the newly appointed head of the DNC. When introducing Delay she became all giddy and when Perez was introduced it was like a matter of fact. The air time for Perez wasn't as long as Delays…

Non, I don’t think that Maria should change her speech. Once she changes her speech, she will become unethical speaker. According to Beebe & Beebe (2015), “If you adapt to your audience by abandoning your own values and sense of truth, then you will become unethical speaker rather than an audience centered one” (p.84). before Maria even go out to speak, it is very important to do more research about the topic. Many audience may already know the truth about the subject.…
