It is important to life your life, to not to sit around and reflect about the bad when you should be focusing on the good, to live your life down to the last seconds so that at the end you will not have regrets. I chose to analyze an untitled poem written by C. Joybell. All of her poems inspire me and go hand in hand with my life. In her poem, she writes how you can be the most beautiful person in the world and everyone can see the light in you but if you do not know it, then that does not matter. By thinking this and stressing over it, I am wasting my moments by being worried and scared for the future when I should be happy focused on the present and take small steps to figure out what is going to be best for me in the

The poem "Theme for English B", by Langston Hughes is written in 1951, before the civil rights movement. Throughout the poem, Hughes is very nonchalant as he discusses the theme of racism as well as what it means to be "free". As he discusses race many think he is very "soft" when there was much to be angry about during this time period. I believe the poem is still very effective and the fact that he does not display anger makes it even more significant. Even though he is not angry, he does display other emotions throughout the piece because Langston Hughes writes in a unique style.…

He does not want them to go so deep because some…

Explication: As I approach, in my vehicle, the intersection of a smaller road and a larger road, and the light rain soaks my small horse-drawn wagon, I peer over my shoulder at the road as it fades into the distance. I notice on the road’s hill, which is now shining from the wet of the rain, distinctly still, myself and a girl’s silhouette enveloped in darkness during the dry month of March’s weather. We walked up the hill beside the open carriage. We had just gotten down to help take some of the weight of the strong and steady pony’s back when he let out a sigh and reduced his speed. What went on while we walked up that hill, and what we spoke of is not of any importance, as is what happened after our walk; something in this life that couldn’t be stopped without…
