Analyzing Act 2 Scene 2 Of Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

In Act II, Scene 2 of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare’s diction is very complex and sets the mood for the scene. Through the dialogue between Romeo and Juliet, the reader can conclude that they both love each other vigorously. Romeo describes Juliet with analogies that compare her to celestial objects. For him, she has “two of the fairest stars in all the heaven” as eyes (Shakespeare Line 17). The use of ‘fairest stars’ conveys the point that Juliet seems unique to Romeo. Even in the darkest night, her eyes sparkle like the stars, while he stares in awe. Shakespeare also mentions religion throughout the scene. Romeo remarks on how Juliet “is a winged messenger of heaven” that came down to him (Shakespeare Line 28). ‘Winged messenger of heaven’

This line said in Juliet's monologue could be interpreted as "Oh, Romeo, Romeo, where is Romeo?" by directly summarizing, but in context in the play, which becomes apparent with analyzing and synthesizing, it's translated to "Oh, Romeo, Romeo, why do you have to be Romeo?" This also evidently proves how the Shakespeare sharpens many skills used by high schoolers on a daily basis, based on how most lines will require them to use and practice these skills when reading the…

How many times has a person wondered what love controls and effects in life? However, when people look broader into the topic of love they find something that affects love more than we think, and that is conflict. The modern day society looks around and sees the connection of love and conflict everywhere they go. Although this is one of the most common aspects of our modern day life it was also very prominent in ancient times and even early modern ages. Even love and conflict seem like opposing forces they have properties that tie them together like the very fact they are opposing forces, love is a very disagreeable topic and many other people will have opinions and think different about love, also love blinds people and the people can get so wrapped up in love they don’t focus on things they should which all of these in turn all of these can easily lead and cause conflict.…

I choose to discuss how Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet convey particular characters, places, or events? From the moment the piece started, I could hear two distinctive themes throughout the song. The two themes that I noticed the pieces had was a love and a feud theme. Throughout the piece, you can tell when certain characters or events are happening. For example, when the music is light happy and calm sounding you can assume a happy or romantic part is coming up or about to happen.…

In the eyes of your love, you 're perfect. In the eyes of your peers, your not worth it. Romeo loved and so did Juliet, but their love was fast and their family’s hatred was not a good duet. Lets sink our eyes, in this passage of what Shakespeare wanted to accomplish in this play of two lovers who die. In Shakespeare 's Romeo and Juliet, when the playwright explores the general theme of Fast vs. Slow, he is urging his audience to believe that love can happen between any circumstances and love at first sight can be true because of belief that Romeo thinks that he is truly in love with Juliet, and Juliet is with him, already and over Rosaline so fast but the families feud is a slow battle between the Capulets and Montagues which should have…

When Juliet says the rest of the phrases she portrays a greatly significant part of the play in front of the audience. Shakespeare shows Juliet’s inner struggle as she expresses her thoughts loudly to herself. As she finds out that Romeo belongs to an enemy household she is utterly distressed. She doesn't realize that Romeo is listening, and tries to argue herself that though Romeo is from a rival’s house and named as a Montague but it does not matter to her as long as they both love each other. Though, she also wishes that Romeo would turn his back on his family name, which is “no part of” his fundamental identity, and win her in in the process.…

The tragic conclusion (Act 5 Scene 3) The moment that I have decided to explain in detail from Act 5 was in scene 3 where Romeo and Juliet are confronted by Fate vs free will in a Tragic conclusion for Romeo, Juliet and all Capulets and Montagues. During the final act of Romeo and Juliet, both Romeo and Juliet decide to take fate into their own hands and both are very emotional about each other and their actions easily show how much emotion, and how young they both were, and how they were not able to control what act 5 actually finished off with. Sorrowful Paris stand at the door of the tomb, with his page boy, making sure that nobody is to break in. What variation exists between Lady Capulet’s speech, “Thou shalt not stir one foot to seek a foe”, and a servant’s language, “My / master is the great rich Capulet, and, if you be not / of the house of Montagues…” (I.i.82; I.ii.85-87)? The main difference occurs in the verse; Lady Capulet speaks in iambic pentameter while the servant does not. This slight variation in writing impacts character development and the portrayal of social standing. In Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare reveals social class and develops character through descriptions and styles of speech.…
