While some may look at diversity as a negative factor, it is important to analyze the different effects of diversity on communities. Diversity is beneficial to a community until it reaches a breaking point. That breaking point is determined by the community and their willingness to accept one another’s values. Communities that have a higher acceptance level and tolerate more diversity will reach a breaking point later than communities that refuse to be accepting of diversity. This is why it’s important to find a balance when it comes to diversity in the community. While non-diverse communities can function as small groups, diversity is a requirement for larger, global communities.
