Continuity Mistake Analysis

Great Essays
1. Continuity mistake: After chasing down Sully, the yellow Porsche is totally wrecked on the left side, until Arnie drives it away, and it's fine.

2. Continuity mistake: After Gerry gets smacked in the face by the 'broken' suspender clasp, we see the silver clasp land under the dresser. Yet, when he's moaning and lifting his leg to get onto the bed, we can actually see the clasp still intact on the front suspender that came loose, which is dangling right behind him (just look between his legs). Of course, in the next shot, that clasp is gone. Since the silver clasp is one of the plot points, this is bizarre to say the least.

3. Continuity mistake: When John and Catherine are in the hangar at the runway, the Cessna's tail number is

Continuity mistake: Merry and Pippin were bound when taken by the Uruk-hai, and the bonds weren't cut until after they managed to escape during the fight. Yet, when the horse almost crashed down on Pippin, he had his arms spread out up near his face, not bound, even though they weren't cut until later. In the next shot, his hands are bound again.

17. Continuity mistake: The tiger bites the seat off the suitor's trousers, allowing the viewer to see his polka-heart boxers. When we see the tiger in the courtyard, he has a part of the same boxer shorts in his mouth. So if he bit off the seat of the trousers, shouldn't he have purple cloth in his mouth?

18. Visible crew/equipment: In the "Battle of Carthage" in the Colosseum, one of the chariots is turned over. Once the dust settles you can see a gas cylinder in the back of the chariot.

19. Continuity mistake: Right before they rob the police car, a Boeing 747 (four engines) is seen in shots of the plane coming into land. But when the plane is shown from behind, it has only two engines and fewer main landing gears, probably an Airbus

Factual error: In the scene when Will is opening the drawer of films from the Leeds home, there is clearly a copy of Mrs. Doubtfire in the left column of tapes. How can that be? Red Dragon is clearly set "several years" after 1980, as the caption says, but before the 1991 Silence of the Lambs, but "Mrs. Doubtfire" came out in 1993.

27. Continuity mistake: At the beginning when Indy is talking to Spalko, his hands keep alternating from being in his pockets to just resting at his sides between shots.

28. Continuity mistake: The morning after Vivian's first night at the hotel, room service brings breakfast. When she's eating a croissant it cuts to a shot of Edward, and when it cuts back to Vivian she's eating a pancake which goes from being half done, to being a whole pancake again.

29. Visible crew/equipment: During the scene where Neo is talking to Agent Smith in the park area where Neo was talking to the Oracle, there is a close-up on Agent Smith's face. In his sunglasses you can see a bright white screen to reflect the light onto the faces of the actors. This isn't visible in any non-reflected angles. You can also see the cameraman on the other

In the article “A Suicide at Twelve: ‘Why, Steve?” of Richard E. Meyer, the author narrates a whole life of a young boy whose name is Steve Dailey. Through the article, we could see the whole life of Steve from the day he was born to the day he chose a rope and bough to end his life although nobody, who lived around him, understood the reason why he had to kill himself. Therefore, the author still keeps a question “Why, Steve?” for the article. “Steve Dailey was born on July 30, 1961, in the Cincinnati suburb of Clifton.”…

Somehow this cubicle had never bothered me after 12 years on the force it was just normal to be in this cubicle for most of the day. The town of Catalina only had a population of 10,000 and not much happened for the undercover unit. We had been called out a few weeks ago to assist the state police at the Athens air show to help with controlling the (1) throng of people that came out. I don’t know how this small air show (2) elicited so many people each year. We recently had a (4) former military officer join our force.…

In the short story “Marriage" by Melanie Sumner, milk scum is the breaking point of the Husband and Wife’s marriage. Divorce is clear when reading the imposters endings as well as the real ending because the real ending connects to the message or lesson of this story. It is quite apparent through the Wife’s explanation to the counselor that she is very annoyed with her Husband’s action of putting his empty milk glass on the counter day in and day out. Her severe frustration is over something simple. If something that simple can be the breaking point, than divorce is inevitable.…

(The film uses substantial amount of opaque glass.) For example, when John Shaft is shot in his office in a medium close up, in his background can be seen a wall of opaque windows. John Shaft is filmed glancing out the window while conversing with other characters in the shot but not necessarily in the frame. This is interesting because to the viewer what is on the other side of the glass is not visible and yet the characters seem to still glare out the windows as if there was something to see. In "The Right To Opacity" by T.J. Demos and "Transparency And Twist…

Fairytale isn’t necessarily the perfect word to describe this play written by Tennessee Williams, as a matter of fact it’s quite the opposite. There is no romantic ending in this memory play. Time and time again people come to the common question of, “Movies vs. books?” Many movies follow their books word for word whether its character development or plot development, whereas other movies change and twist the book’s stories in unimaginable ways, yet people are still faced with the question, “Movies or books?” An example of how books and movies can differ is in the story “The Outsiders” written by S. E. Hinton and produced by Francis Coppola. Although there are many similarities that both the book, The Outsiders, and the movie share, there were many noticeable differences in the appearance and personalities of all the characters. Three of the main characters, Pony, Johnny and Soda, will be reviewed in particular.…

The minutes turned to hours as Jimin twisted his mind to reveal even the smallest details and ideas about what he could use Yoongi for. First off was his initial plan, revolving around manipulation, just as his lifestyle did as well. He could also play the game of innocence, pretending to essentially become the personal therapist of Yoongi and let him vent out all of his life's secrets after gaining the man's trust. For now though, he'd stick to winging whatever plan could develop after the odd turn of events. Sleep was minimal on the first night.…
