Analytical Essay: The Story Of Alexander The Great

After reigning for twelve years, Alexander the Great had died from being very sick. With him passing meant for a new ruler, and his name was Antiochus Epiphanes, son of King Antiochus. He plundered the city, burnt it with fire, and tore down the houses. Even with him doing these things, the people of Israel stood strong and helped one another. That to me, speaks wonders of these people to stand strong in the sight of adversity. They were not going to give up without a fight, and they were going to stand firm and were resolved in their hearts not to eat unclean food. They chose to die rather than to do all the unholy things that this man wanted them to do, and they did die. That gives me chills just thinking about it because most people now would have bowed down to him and would give him what he wanted just so they would live. These people were true inspirations, and they make me so glad that I did not have to deal with what they did and that I was so fortunate not to. I applaud the people of Israel for standing up for what they believe
